One act play. Foreward by Hilda Trevelyan mentioning Mr. Edmund Gwenn (the Academy Award winning actor) and the Vaudeville Theatre in London, dated January 1913. There is also a page listing the casts for three different productions of the play in 1911 and 1912. Incidental music by Beatrice Pattenden. White cloth with red titles and red, black and white illustration of Pierrot and Pierette on front board. Cloth is lightly worn and moderately soiled. Unfortunatly there is a small puncture mark on the rear board that goes through to page 36, out of 47+ pages. Binding is tight, pages are yellowing.

New York Random House 1951 First Edition Cloth and Board Very Good Very Good 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall 
Signed by Faulkner on title page. From the estate of Charles Edison, former Secretary of the Navy and Governor of New Jersey. Requiem for a Nun is the sequel to Sanctuary, featuring Temple Drake. This was Faulkner's only published play. This is not one of the signed limited editions. Faulkner's signature on a trade edition is rare. Top edge of pages dyed grey. Dust jacket is a little age worn. There is a very small tear and two small chips at the head of the spine panel. Original price of $3.00 on inside flap. Jacket is now protected by Brodart. Black cloth spine with bright gold title. Boards are covered with green cloth. Small faded area at tail of spine. Edges of boards mildly darkened. Page edges slightly yellowed. 286p.

Spine is rubbed, with pulling to head and tail. Soiling to cloth, foxing in gutters. Some foxing to endpapers. Rear board is slightly bowed. First signature starting. 246p.
