Daffodils, by Whitney, A. D. T. (Adeline Dutton Train). Scarce, Sarah Wyman Whitman designed cover. Houghton, Mifflin & Company, Boston, 1887. Poems. Believed first edition, this title is second-to-last in the listing opposite the title page, with "Just How" as the last. White leather spine with yellow cloth on boards, half leather wrap around the spine. Gold embossed titles on spine and cover, daffodil on leather side of cover. Top edges of pages are gilt. Three interior illustrations of unknown origin (not SW Whitman). Condition Good. Book is heavily soiled, gold is scratched and rubbed, points are soft, a number of pages were dog-eared at one point, foxing to some interior pages, gift dedication on ffep, one word neatly writing on inside of back cover. 131 numbered pages +1, "For A Church Dedication."
