Drawn chiefly from the diaries of Mrs. James T. Fields, famous for her literary salon in Boston. Mr. Fields was a junior partner at Ticknor and Fields and Editor of The Atlantic Monthly. They entertained numerous literary giants. Green cloth spine with green paper label, raised bands. Boards covered with green paper. Front board is slightly soiled and scuffed. Small chip in paper at leading edge, torn at bottom front corner. Rubbed at head and tail of spine. Numerous black and white photos. Binding is tight and pages are clean. 312p. including index.
